While the lack of nearby shops and some minor housekeeping issues are noted, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return and recommend the cottage to others.

Most guests found the property spotlessly clean and well-presented, though a few mentioned areas needing more attention, such as floors and some general housekeeping. Overall, cleanliness is a strong point with only occasional minor lapses.

Three generations family holiday for seven nights. Garden was perfect for a family game of rounders. Kitchen was functional but probably needs a bigger oven and fridge for eight people if you want to eat in. We found the place to be grubby and attention is needed to some areas of cleaning. Would probably benefit a few fans as it was very hot and maybe an umbrella for the outdoor seating area. The field behind us was very busy with Lorry’s and farm vehicles during our stay that could be noisy at times. We didn’t use the hot tub or BBQ.

*A brilliant stay at Longridge, Peldon * We had a fantastic few days at Longridge, Lower Road, Peldon, Colchester CO5 7QW. Its a quiet spot that feels properly rural, but Colchester isnt too far away if you want to do shoppings. *What made it stand out* The house was spotles and set up for a comfortable stay. The *kitchen was really well-equipped* proper pans, cutlery, and its great that they left a few dishwasher tablets for us so we could get started right away. The *utility room* was a lifesaver. Having a washing machine with a bottle of washing liquid, a tumble dryer, and even an iron and ironing board meant we could pack lighter and deal with wet coats and kids clothes without stres. Outside, the *garden is a good size with a nicely mowed lawn* and plenty of space to do morning garden walk. The *hot tub* was the highlight for us. Clean, hot, and perfect after a day walking around. It's great for families or a group of friends. I would definitely recommend this pl
