Perfect location to explore all the area has to offer including the wonderful coastline. St Osyth has its own wonderful sandy beach. The busting traditional seaside town of Clacton-on-Sea backed with an array of entertainment facilities including a pleasure pier, promenade, arcades, theatre, golf course, water sports and fabulous sandy beach. With Brightlingsea marina and Frinton-on-sea just a short drive away. The main shopping area contains many of the more familiar national chains, independent boutiques as well as many eateries. A shoppers’ delight is Clacton Shopping Village with famous name brands at discounted prices.
Furnished to provide a warm welcome all year round. Boasting open plan accommodation offering contemporary design. The main double bedroom (super king bed) has a separated area with bunk beds, suited to children. The bathroom has roll top bath and walk in shower. To the rear is a private enclosed lawn garden.
This area is well regarded as Essex’s best kept secret having the interesting and popular small towns of Brightlingsea, Wivenhoe, Mersea, Frinton and Walton-on-the-Naze, all within ½ hours drive. The town of Colchester is close by, famous for its cobbled streets, castle and zoo, with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. Further afield are Ipswich, Chelmsford and Felixstowe. Many picturesque villages and Constable country are close by, with Dedham, Manningtree, Nayland, Lavenham and Long Melford to name but a few. Other local pastimes include golf and horse riding. Beach 5 miles.

Ok. So the pictures of Lamb Barn are beautiful. The place itself is as well - but not like the pictures. Whilst there are the same - lamb lane is not as bright and airy as it shows. It’s very dark without any lights on. The rear garden is small. But enclosed. One of the pics on here shows the rear garden without the dividing fence. Hot tub lovely - for two only. The over hanging bamboo means a lot of debris gets in the water. The cover for the hot tub is long over due a replacement. Lamb Barn is right on the edge of a main road. Quite a busy road - but the noise was ok for us. Just not quiet enough for some. The owners were lovely and friendly. However, their front door was directly the other side of our bedroom wall. With at least four in the house the front door had to be shut firmly each morning which was annoying before 8am. I am always up for 5 for work so I was hoping to wake up when I woke naturally. Not with the door small g four times each morning. The bathroom - whilst it was nice. The small windows that would not open looked straight out onto the owners parking area where their cars could clearly be seen. Without frosted windows - this means they could easily been seen in as well which was very unnerving. So yes it’s a nice place. But we would not return.

We had an enjoyable weekend with our 4 year old granddaughter, Lily. The cottage was clean and very comfortable. Lily particularly loved the hot tub.There was plenty to do locally including Clacton, Walton on the Naze and some lovely dog walking nearby too. Our dog loved the beach at Point Clear.
