Saffron Walden is close by, this medieval market town is rich in history and has held a market since 1141. The twice weekly market is now held on a Tuesday and Saturday. For those who enjoy fishing, coarse fishing is available within the grounds, 600 yards away (at cost). There are several gardens and trails to follow.

Audley End House and Gardens is a great day out, where you can explore the mansion house, visit the glorious gardens or discover what life was like as a Victorian servant.
