We purposely booked this location as on the map it was far enough away from London to avoid the hustle and bustle but close enough to catch public transport in with ease. The site was easy to find after our easy 3 hour drive from Sheffield. It was a large site so it didn't feel like everyone was on top of each other noise wise and close enough to a local pub and a few takeaways so food wasn't a problem if we didn't want to cook. The Country lodge we booked was well equipped with everything we needed including 2 seperate bathrooms, 1 with a shower over bath and 1 with a cubicle shower, a master bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms and a lovely kitchen/livingroom/diner. The kitchen had a tall fridge freezer with loads of space, an undercounter wine fridge, washing machine, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, microwave, oven and 5 ring hob with all the usual cups, plates, bowls, utensils etc so everything you'd need for however long you're stopping. Each bedroom had it's own clothes hanging area with coat hangers along with a radiator in each room to make sure its nice and warm if you chose to go in the colder months. The livingroom area had 2 sets of french doors opening onto a large veranda area with patio furniture and the hot tub which is easily large enough for 6 people. The veranda area then leads down to a grassed area with a gate opening onto a river for anyone that likes to go fishing.Overall we'd recommend this site to anyone as we thoroughly enjoyed our week here. The only recommendations we had for improvements to our stay would have been 1. Better lighting around the hot tub area 2. Possibly a set of weighing scales in the kitchen. We would have also liked to be informed about the work going on with the lodge next to us as for the duration of our stay there were workman hammering, drilling etc next to us. None of it was too early or too late but it would have been nice to know before arriving. Obviously none of this influenced our stay and we would 100% revisit this site.

Plenty of seating and table space. No cushions on outside furniture or table to eat at. The Tesco is our usual goto but only 2 bedrooms but enough for our needs.

Our 4th stay at Lee Valley, in the Country Lodge, and I’ve already booked the 5th. Whilst the park itself doesn’t have much in the way of amenities, the lodge has a hot tub, barbecue and everything you need is located nearby. It’s also ideally placed for day trips into London by train.
