Church Cottage is situated in one of the most scenic and tranquil areas of the Lake District, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with an abundance of wildlife. The occasional red squirrel and deer can be spotted, and this is a wonderful area for bird watching and wild flowers. The cottage has spectacular views in all directions, with stunning sunsets over the Solway Estuary and the Scottish hills. The open plan living space offers beams and a large picture window with fantastic views to the fells and open fields. There are many walking opportunities along flower filled country lanes and local bridleways, perhaps a visit to Bisney or Dash falls.
The nearest towns are Keswick and Cockermouth, both within 10 miles. The lovely Cumbrian villages of Caldbeck, Ireby and Uldale are a short drive away, all have good pubs serving food.
This delightful cottage has been beautifully furnished and equipped to offer very comfortable and attractive accommodation. Outside there is a play area with a slide, swings and climbing frame. There is also a fully equipped games room, with an adjoining laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Barbecues are available as well as ample car parking, with a garage which is lockable in which bikes can be stored. A welcome tea tray and complimentary bottle of wine are available to all guests on arrival.

The cottage was very comfortable, perfectly clean and well stocked with kitchen ware, bathroom and kitchen accessories and supplies etc. it has lovely views on all sides. The friendly owner showed us around on arrival and gave us a helpful run through on heating, bins, and operation of the household items etc. He also provided useful local knowledge on shops, and places to visit. Although on the northern boundaries of the Lakes it took a mere 20 minutes to reach the central Lakeland region and since most will drive to various locations during their visit to the Lakes this is no inconvenience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Another amazing stay in this beautiful upside down cottage. Views for miles from every window. Everything you need for either a tranquil stay or base for exploring. Large space for parking. Sheep, chickens and cows for neighbours is a bonus. Large games room for entertainment is fantastic. Highly recommend 10/10.

Excellent cottage, fantastic views, the cottage was so clean and we were given a bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival Very easy to get to the best landmarks of the Lake District even though the roads were very narrow The host was great and very friendly and also very informative of the local area, with some good recommendations of the best restaurants Would have no hesitation in re booking
