The cottage, which is less than 0.5 miles from the bustling centre of Cockermouth, sleeps four guests, making it perfect for a small family or a couples retreat. Cockermouth is a lively market town, with excellent independent shops and eateries. The town has a fascinating history, and the Cockermouth Town Trail is a great way to see some of its famous landmarks. It s easy to escape the crowds in the western Lake District. Why not head to Loweswater (5.5 miles), your nearest lake, where you can follow the lakeside path and soak up the peaceful atmosphere? If you fancy a more exhilarating walk, head to Skiddaw (15 miles), where you ll be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views. This welcoming holiday cottage offers a home away from home stay. Enter through the front door and into the bright kitchen/diner, which has everything you need to rustle up a tasty meal. There s an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge and small freezer, as well as a handy dishwasher. You ll also have a welcome pack, including tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Enjoy mealtimes together around the dining table, which has seating for four guests. Adjacent to the kitchen is the cosy lounge, with plump sofas to relax on to watch the TV/DVD at the end of a busy day in the warmth of the gas fire. Heading upstairs, you ll find the two light and airy bedrooms. The first is a double and the second is a twin with adult size bunk beds. On this floor is the family bathroom, which has a shower over the bath and a WC. Outside, you ll have a private patio with outdoor furniture, as well as access to the large, shared garden with a lawn, mature trees and pretty flower beds. On a summer s afternoon, enjoy a spot of outdoor dining whilst admiring the beautiful views towards the hills. Within the large three quarters of an acre sized garden you will also find an attractive water feature. There is off road parking available for one car, plus additional roadside parking. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double, 1 twin (adult size bunk beds). 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and WC. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, small freezer, dishwasher. Gas central heating. Shared washing machine/dryer outside the property. Welcome pack. TV/DVD. Private patio with outdoor furniture, and lawn shared with neighbouring holiday cottage and the owner s house. Off road parking for 1 car. Additional roadside parking available. 1 small/medium sized dog welcome. Dog breed will need to be confirmed when booking. Pub and shops less than 0.5 miles. Please note for guests with children there is a water feature in the large garden and children should be supervised at all times. Please note, the property only allows small medium size dogs. Dogs must be over 1 year of age.
