A stunning end terrace cottage which has been extended, modernised, furnished and equipped to an excellent standard by the owners. 3 Barf Cottages is situated along a small, no thoroughfare lane, in the village of Portinscale. There are several cafes, tea rooms, restaurants and two marinas in this popular lakeside village, which is accessible via a footpath from Keswick, where you will find a wealth of amenities. Much effort and attention to detail has been afforded by the owners to create a cottage oozing with quality and great facilities. There is a fabulous garden room which doubles as the dining room, overlooking the garden to the fells beyond, bathroom and shower room, excellent kitchen, wood burner, wooden floors, parking and Wi-Fi.

We had a lovely short break at 3, Barf Cottages. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Amazing views of the fells and beautiful aspect onto the back garden. Easy flat walk to Keswick with all its amenities - a beautiful town to visit. We also had an enjoyable walk to Lingholm Estate, right from the door. Would highly recommend.

Just back from a wonderful stay at 3 Barf Cottages! Everything surpased our expectations - a really well designed, dresed and kept cottage with everything we might need for our stay. We felt at home as soon as we walked through the door! The cottage is cosy and comfortable but deceptively bigger than expected with fantastic light in the dining /day room and views towards surrounding peaks. And a great location for exploring the central and north Lake District, as well having both walks and wonderful hostelries within walking distance. Our only regret is that we didn't book longer... we loved it and hope to return!
