Guests say

Apple Tree Cottage receives glowing praise for its immaculate presentation, cosy atmosphere, and well-equipped interiors. Guests consistently highlight the warm welcome from the hosts, the charming garden, and the peaceful village setting with a pub nearby. The cottage is ideally situated for exploring Keswick and the Lake District. While the steep stairs and lack of a dishwasher or dedicated parking are occasionally mentioned, these are minor compared to the overwhelmingly positive feedback. The thoughtful touches and attention to detail make this a highly recommended choice for a relaxing getaway.

Cleanliness is repeatedly praised, with guests describing the cottage as spotless, immaculate, and very well maintained throughout their stay.

The location is highly regarded, with guests appreciating the peaceful village, proximity to Keswick, beautiful surroundings, and the convenience of a local pub and walks nearby.

Guests find the cottage extremely comfortable, cosy, and warm, with quality furnishings and beds. Minor mentions of steep stairs do not detract from overall comfort.

The cottage is described as very well equipped and modern, with all necessary amenities. Occasional comments note the absence of a dishwasher and dedicated parking, but these are outweighed by positive remarks about the facilities.

Guests frequently mention the generous welcome baskets and personal touches from the hosts, though it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Booked Appletree as a birthday treat for my sister. Lovely cottage very well equipped, clean and warm and a very nice welcome pack was left for us. The beds were both comfortable and the bathroom was modern with a good shower. We had a meal in the pub which was very handy and welcoming. There is no designated parking but the small car park on the village green was handy.I would definitely book again.

We have stayed in many cottages over the years and this cottage topped them all. Met by Michael who showed us around and explained how things work, equipped to a very high degree and a lovely welcome pack with the basics plus wine and cakes. We went with friends of many years and had a lovely relaxing time. The Sun Inn has a lovely atmosphere and is only two minutes from the cottage. Acoustic night Thursday which was totally our thing. Would we go again? Definitely.
