Great location with easy parking. Kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could need. Decided not to use the washing machine as it was in need of a clean. The heated towel rail in the bathroom and the vents were also very dusty but the rest of the cottage was very clean. Unfortunately the mattresses were very uncomfortable and spoilt the stay as I couldn’t get a good nights sleep. Someone did come out from the local office and provided a mattress topper but this was not sufficient to solve the issue. They said they would see what else they could do but I didn’t hear from them again. Would be a nice place to stay if these simple issues were fixed.

Had a fabulous week at Blease Cottage. Ideal location for us to hike and explore from. The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped and the parking space allows you to relax about going out in car if you need to. Enjoyed the jigsaws/cards and tv at night. Good shower at the end of the day was bliss. Weather was cracking with most days dry and sunny. Views of Blencathra and Clough Head are gorgeous to wake up to.. Enjoy sitting on the bench in front of the house - perfectly located for afternoon sun - with a cuppa. Plan to stay here again in the future. Highly recommend! Horse and Farrier pub was fabulous - good atmosphere, friendly staff, warm fires and tasty food. Arrived home truly rejuvenated.
