While some guests noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance, the overall experience is positive, with many looking forward to returning.
Several reviews mention issues with cleanliness, including cobwebs and areas that could use a deep clean. However, not all reviews reflect this, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the house warm once heated. The size of the property is appreciated for accommodating families, though some minor niggles were mentioned.
The property is well-equipped with bathrooms, a washer and dryer, and storage for bikes. Some guests noted the need for more basics and minor maintenance issues like light bulbs out.

House was very cold, less than 12C, when we first got there, boiler had been turned off. Living room carpet had not been cleaned, big cobwebs in the kichen and the smoke alarm was sounding due to low battery. Phoned to complain and left the property within the hour. The house is not worth the rate asked, house and holiday company not recommended at all.Our break was totally ruined.

The location was excellent for walks and in and out of Keswick. However the general cleanlines of the property left a lot to be desired

Aside from some blemishes to the experience we truly enjoyed this cottage and it felt like a good deal. The location looks almost rural but the town is just a short and very nice walk away. We never tried the nearby pub but its neighboring motorcycle-frequented diner has great coffee and the food looked OK. The blemishes include a weird check-in experience where someone had pasted crucial information mid-mesage. Also the kitchen equipment was les than superb. However, the bedrooms and bathrooms were great and as mentioned, we enjoyed the location. Given the price I do recommend the house for a family or three, like our party.
