Situated in the heart of Braithwaite village, opposite the village shop and two minutes walk from the pubs and restaurants. Bridge cottage is suitable for walkers, families and pet owners seeking a comfortable base, with walks from the door and the benefit of amenities close at hand. The cottage enjoys a delightful setting overlooking the village beck, lovely fell views from the bedrooms and a cosy open fire for chilly winter evenings. Braithwaite is the starting point for several great fell walks, including Grisedale Pike and Causey Pike or if you are feeling really fit/adventurous the Coledale Horseshoe takes in several fells in one walk.

Nice cottage.Couldnt work the central heating system which came on through the night.Great walks from the door.Friendly villagers and good food at The Coledale.Recommend a Cornish pasty from the shop which was just opposite.Great place for exploring the surrounding countryside.

A lovely little cottage in a beautiful village, very close to local amenities - the shop is right opposite. Parking was a bonus even if it was a bit tight. The cottage did take a while to warm up but otherwise It had everything we needed. It was a perfect location to explore the mountains nearby - Grisdale pike is right on the doorstep and A short drive away is Skiddaw and Helvellyn. Loved sitting out looking at the stars at night due to low light pollution in the area.

Great location ! The cottage is bigger than expected but is in need of an upgrade . The shower was the worst we have had ever experienced in all our travels and the bath is terribly stained .
