About this property

An elegant Edwardian home from home refurbished with a contemporary twist, perfect for celebrations and multi-generational family get-to-togethers. With 360 degree views of some of the Lake Districts most outstanding peaks, this ten bedroomed property also offers four acres of serene seclusion. With a fine mix of period features and modern touches, Bristowe Hill can be your retreat. Enjoy the evening sun on the al-fresco terrace, admire the orangery or take a book and indulge in a little 'me time' with tea and scones in the parklands pavilion. Just a 20 minute walk to the shores of Derwentwater, and walking distance to Keswick, pubs bars and restaurants are a plenty, making this property the ideal location to explore the North lakes.

You approach this incredible Edwardian building, up a long sweeping drive, through the front door into a small porch then straight into the large hallway, full of grandeur with its imposing mahogany staircase. The first lounge has elegant furnishings and decor plus an occasional dining table, open fire and Bose sound system with a curve 55" Samsung TV all encased in an impressive oak unit. The second reception room has leather sofas, a second open fire and views in abundance. The grand dining hall, with parquet flooring and oak panelled walls, features a long central dining table, fine fireplace and doors leading to the extensive gardens. Head downstairs and you will discover a games room equipped with pool table and TV, the perfect place for older children for escape. On the ground floor there is also a cloakroom and wc, plus a double bedroom with en-suite featuring a large walk in shower. Next to the bedroom is access to first floor via the original staff stairs. The ground floor is also home to the first kitchen with central island, gas Rangemaster and beautifully light orangery, which makes the perfect socialising area and features doors to the patio area and access to the Chef's larder. The second kitchen has another large fridge freezer, double digital dishwasher, Bosch Hob and oven, fully fitted wooden worktops and Belfast sink. The utility room with sink, washer and dryer, along with a separate WC, basin and shower, plus an exit to the garden and shed, makes up the remainder of the ground floor accomodation.

Impressive stairs lead to the first floor where you will find the family bathroom with roll top bath, basin and wc. The first bedroom has a double sleigh bed, views over Keswick and the perfectly landscaped gardens of Bristowe Hill. The second double bedroom has window seating and fabulous views. A further king bedroom with en-suite (wc, basin, shower) and an Edwardian bay window to take in yet more views of the glorious Keswick landscape. The fourth bedroom is the king master en-suite (basin and shower and separate wc) and features a room length balcony with external seating. The fifth king bedroom has two large windows showing an almost 180 degree view. A smaller king bedroom also enjoys wonderful views. Two further spacious family bathrooms and two separate wcs.

From a second set of original staff stairs you will find the second floor with access to a snug with TV and reading corner. On this floor there is one twin bedroom which is en-suite. Those paying the additional supplement will access a further twin bedroom with family bathroom and another king bedroom that's en-suite.

As a little added extra there is access to a viewing turret right at the top of the house.
