There’s loads to see and do near this lovely first-floor apartment in the village of Rosthwaite, 6.5 miles from Keswick, including great walks, water sports, rock climbing, and shopping. The apartment is one of five in Kiln How, a lovely large Victorian house. It has a spacious garden and two bedrooms, ideal for friends or family.
The flat is up the stairs from the shared hallway and has contemporary styling throughout. There’s an open plan living room/kitchen/diner with space for everyone to hang out and eat together at the end of the day, with a Smart TV, an electric fire and great views of the fells and valley. You’ll find everything you need in the kitchen and down the hall are the double bedrooms, and family bathroom. Outside, you and your fellow Kiln How guests can sit and enjoy the fresh air where there’s plenty of space for your furry friends.
Explore the stunning local scenery on foot on the myriad lovely walks nearby. Wander over the fell to Watendlath hamlet and tarn, carry on to Castle Crag and along Stonethwaite Valley. For something more demanding, Dale Head (3.5 miles away) and Helvellyn (12 miles away) are both within striking distance. Black Moss Pot is a popular spot for wild swimming 1 mile from the apartment. Visit the caverns at Millican Dalton’s Caves, on the side of Castle Crag just 1 mile away. Go fishing on one of the lakes or have a go at canoeing, kayaking, sailing, rowing or paddleboarding. The market town of Keswick is 6.5 miles away where you’ll find plenty of shops and places to eat out and visit, including the cinema, museums, and the Theatre by the Lake.
