While the chef in the family cooks up a delicious meal you can sit in the sunroom and plan the next day’s activities. As the day draws to an end, head upstairs to the first floor where you’ll find three lovely bedrooms featuring a king-size, a single, and twin beds. All the bedrooms are well furnished and adorned with bedside tables, lamp lighting, and artwork on the walls. There’s also a family bathroom on this floor. Head to Derwent Water Marina (320 metres) and enjoy a walk around the lake or jump on a boat and explore the landscape from the water. Alternatively, take the footpath into Keswick (2 miles) and discover castle ruins, cobbled streets, and plenty of excellent eateries. Cycling enthusiasts can also find excellent trails at Whinlatter Forest (3.5 miles) while the more adventurous can scale the heights of Skiddaw.
