This property is a delightful pet-friendly Lake District cottage sleeping five people in the superb location of Bassenthwaite Village.
There is walking and hiking from the front door both to the higher fells. You can climb to summit of Skiddaw straight from the fron door or explore the woodlands and fields that surround the village. You can also walk to the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake.
It's a short walk from the cottage a great Lakeland pub, where you can enjoy a pint of real ale, an excellent meal and superb views of Skiddaw and the Lake District fells.
Bassenthwaite Village itself is really family friendly - there is a traditional village green, a children's play area and a little stream running through the village for paddling or feeding the ducks.
Keswick is a 10-minute drive away. Here you can try all kinds of outdoor activities, from water sports and downhill mountainbike trails to climbing and ghyll scrambling. There are also a wide range of amenities including shops, restaurants, an award winning theatre and many other popular attractions.
The door from the patio opens into the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, under-counter fridge with freezer compartment, and large dishwasher. The kitchen area also includes an open plan dining area with dining table and seating for six people.
Next to the kitchen is a utility room with a washing machine. This is also where the boiler is located, making it an ideal place for drying wet outdoor gear.
The living room is arranged around the lovely wood burner with both two and three seater sofas and a bean bag, along with a TV with DVD player.
Upstairs there is a double bedroom with ample wardrobe and drawer space. There is also a single bedroom.
The bathroom features a bath with shower above, heated towel rail, WC and handbasin.
Outside is a small sitting out area which has garden furniture during the summer. There are fell views from the sitting out area. Parking is available just up the lane to the side of the cottage.
