This was our third stay. In 2025 we mentioned the cleanliness especially the bedroom rugs and under the beds. A year later the same dirty rugs were still there. Still no scissors or sharp knives. The outside dustbin was full so we had nowhere to put our rubbish. It’s in a great location, with parking outside, very close to town centre. It just needs updating and a bit of money spent on it. And………replace those manky rugs!

We had a great New Year week at this cottage. On the whole it is a good base and home from home . The cottage was clean and fresh smelling when we arrived despite what some reviews reported. There was soap, washing up liquid, dish washer tablets and black bags provided, although curiously there weren't any scissors. The location is excellent with parking immediately outside the front door. The bed was comfortable and the shower powerful and hot. The negatives are that the fire in the lounge is broken in that it lights up but no heat is omitted. Also the boiler was temperamental and difficult to manage. Finally, the grassed area at the rear would be perfect for dog owners if a gate was fitted to make it secure. As.it is we had to keep the dog on the lead when letting him out for a wee.
