Well presented and built in the mid 1990’s they offer very cosy, comfortable and tastefully furnished holiday accommodation. Enjoy excellent local atmosphere and amenities plus dramatic and spectacular scenery on the doorstep. This is a walkers paradise with good restaurants, pubs, theatre, cinema, leisure centre, golf, tennis, water sports, fishing, bowls and shopping all nearby. Shops and pubs 200 metres.

additional information - The TV reception is intermittant, due to weather and geographical location. Parking for 1 small/medium car, larger cars can be parked in Pay & Display car park in centre of Keswick, a short walk from the property.

Glenwood is in such a great location. Everything in walking distance. A parking space, lovely accommodation with everything you could need. We have just come home from our 4th visit and I expect we will try to book for next year too.

The double mattress should have been replaced about 10 years ago.We had to wash cups, plates, bowls and pans before we could use them as all were marked and had obviously not been cleaned by the previous occupiers. The freezer desperately needs defrosting.

Nothing drastically bad with it, but felt it rated a 'below average' rating based on the dozens of cottages we've stayed in previously, this one being the least nice. Not so much a 'cottage' as a small semi-detached house (which, to be fair, is shown in the photos). OK to use as a base to sleep in if you're out all day, but anyone looking for a 'cosy cottage' experience will likely be disappointed. Had a bit of a cheap and tired look about it, for example the TV didn't work properly (which I think has been mentioned in other reviews). Its redeeming feature was the private parking space, which for central Keswick is quite rare in a holiday cottage.
