Holly Bank enjoys stunning views, looking out across the valley to the lake and mountains, stretching from Skiddaw, Sale Fell and Lords Seat to the Borrowdale peaks. This detached bungalow has an elevated position on the outskirts of Bassenthwaite village, in the vicinity of the osprey nesting site. It has been renovated and fully refurbished, providing fabulous facilities, panoramic views from most rooms. The living room has inviting leather sofas and there is dining furniture both in the conservatory and kitchen. The games room doubles as an office space with a desk and office chair - there’s even a sofa in here. The boot room is ideal for drying off your wet dogs and boots. The bathroom and en-suites have underfloor heating and shaver points for your convenience, and outside is an exercise area for your four legged friend.
The Sun Inn and Castle Inn Hotel are each within a five minute walk, both serving real ale and food. The vibrant market towns of Keswick and Cockermouth are 10 minutes’ drive away with a local bus service from the Castle Inn.

Absolutely fabulous stay at Holly bank. The cottage was in a perfect spot with stunning views to wake up to every day. It had everything we needed and was a short stroll away from the sun inn pub with fabulous food and a short drive to Keswick. The beds were very comfortable and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Holly Bank is a lovely place to stay. The accommodation has everything you need and is comfortable and well-equipped. The bungalow also benefits from beautiful views, particularly when relaxing on the decking area.We took our dogs with us, and it's worth noting that the secure exercise area is quite small and consists mainly of bare ground beneath some trees. The grassy areas are not enclosed, and because the lawns are situated on a steep bank, they are not really suitable for sitting out in the sun with chairs.The property description states that the bungalow has been refurbished; however, this appears to have been some time ago. While the accommodation is perfectly functional and comfortable, parts of the property would benefit from a refresh refurbishment to bring it back to the description advertised.
