Holly Bank enjoys stunning views, looking out across the valley to the lake and mountains, stretching from Skiddaw, Sale Fell and Lords Seat to the Borrowdale peaks. This detached bungalow has an elevated position on the outskirts of Bassenthwaite village, in the vicinity of the osprey nesting site. It has been renovated and fully refurbished, providing fabulous facilities, panoramic views from most rooms. The living room has inviting leather sofas and there is dining furniture both in the conservatory and kitchen. The games room doubles as an office space with a desk and office chair - there’s even a sofa in here. The boot room is ideal for drying off your wet dogs and boots. The bathroom and en-suites have underfloor heating and shaver points for your convenience, and outside is an exercise area for your four legged friend.
The Sun Inn and Castle Inn Hotel are each within a five minute walk, both serving real ale and food. The vibrant market towns of Keswick and Cockermouth are 10 minutes’ drive away with a local bus service from the Castle Inn.

Hollybank is a wonderful cottage for a family, it has fantastic views over Skiddaw and surrounding fells.Plenty of places to visit locally and further afield. Something for everyone.

What a fantastic holiday cottage! The location is absolutely beautiful surrounded by mountains the view from the windows of the cottage is amazing 🤩. The cottage itself is lovely and clean with plenty of space it accommodated 6 adults 2 children and the dog easily. My children aged 9 & 11 slept in the bunk bed room which they said was a super cosy room they said the beds were comfy (nice touch with the teddy’s for each child to keep) and size wise my children are big for their ages but there was plenty of space. The kitchen has everything you need and it’s only a short drive to the supermarket at Keswick or you can walk to the local pubs. We have stayed in the Lake District many times but this cottage was by far the best and I would highly recommend it to any family’s or large groups.

We had a lovely holiday at Holly Bank! A fabulous, comfortable and well equipped bungalow with fantastic views and a generous garden which the dogs loved! A lovely rural setting but a short drive to friendly pubs and fabulous walks! We understand why so many past guests recommend and repeat their booking! We look forward to doing the same!
