. Mount Pleasant is the pièce de résistance of our larger properties in the Northern Lakes. It’s got it all, location, views, south facing, the finest quality, space, garden and pub nearby. Renovated and luxuriously refurbished, including sumptuous carpets, bespoke hand-built kitchen and stunning Victorian style family bathrooms, and situated in the village of Threlkeld with views in every direction, from St John’s in the Vale and Clough Head to the front and the mighty Blencathra towering behind. Built from slate with a brown hue, mined locally and unique to Threlkeld, this impressive detached house enjoys the sun all day long and has phenomenal views from every room. There are two cracking pubs in the village, one with a restaurant and one serving bar meals. Keswick is 3 miles and access to the M6 is only 15 minutes drive. For those travelling on public transport there are regular buses from Penrith train station which drop you right outside the property, and continue in to Keswick. Beautiful house in a great location but a couple of issues need looking at;-the drain from the shower on the top floor is blocked. (it didn'ttrouble us as we happy to use the others on the first floor)- the kitchen was well equipped however ideally could do with some moretumblers, another wooden spoon or two and a possibly a few more mugs

Amazing property, furnished to an exceptionally high level. It was warm, spacious and we liked having the two lounges given ages varied from 20 months to 79! The kitchen was well equipped and we made a Sunday lunch as the pub was very busy yet had been dead Friday night for a drink! Parking onsite was convenient and we drove to Keswick as it was low season but there’s plenty of buses going for walkers/ people wanting a pint and/ or no aggro parking. Parking isn’t cheap but it’s the lakes! Nice market on a Saturday in Keswick itself. All in all, a beautiful property perfect for a group stay. It was a pleasure to arrive in the dark and wake upto such splendid mountain scenery, atop with snow. We booked three nights but with school, just left Sunday teatime. Should add it was great to have toilet access on all floors and the bathroom was so tasteful with the fancy bath, I even had a bath Saturday morning! We also liked the photos of the property having been renovated and the info in the kitchen. Thanks too for the welcome bottle and some basics that helped us out :) Antone looking at properties now, don’t faff any more - just book!
