This delightful, detached barn conversion is situated in a spectacular location with open views in every direction. Netherend is full of character, with feature stone walls, cosy wood burners and oak beams. There are breathtaking views of Blencathra from the enclosed garden and a variety of footpaths from the doorstep will enable guests to enjoy the stunning scenery and peace that surrounds the property. Cyclists will enjoy the quiet country lanes and golfers will find Keswick Golf Course 1½ miles away. The popular bustling market town of Keswick with an abundance of interesting shops, eateries and a good leisure centre is 4½ miles. Stretch your legs along the edge of Derwentwater or through Borrowdale Valley and pick up the Keswick launch to cruise back again. Towards the south, Ullswater and Thirlmere are a short drive away and both connect via passes and spectacular scenery to the South Lakes.

The house was larger than expected, the photos don’t do it justice. The views were good. The kitchen was well stocked with enough pans and crockery for 10. We had a great holiday and would be happy to return.

We absolutely loved staying at Netherned cottage! It has the most beautiful view down the valley, and we had a lovely view over the fields, watching the lambs playing. Also got to watch some red squirrels, woodpecker and other small birds around the back garden. Good parking for 3 cars. Plenty of space in the house. The house was clean and homely. A bit rough and ready which is perfect for a hiking holiday, but clearly well maintained and clean. We will be back!

Great week at Netherend, perfect for extended family group. Loads of space, well equipped kitchen, warm and comfy house. Remote enough to be peaceful, but within easy striking distance of local pubs and all of Keswick's amenities.
