This delightful, detached barn conversion is situated in a spectacular location with open views in every direction. Netherend is full of character, with feature stone walls, cosy wood burners and oak beams. There are breathtaking views of Blencathra from the enclosed garden and a variety of footpaths from the doorstep will enable guests to enjoy the stunning scenery and peace that surrounds the property. Cyclists will enjoy the quiet country lanes and golfers will find Keswick Golf Course 1½ miles away. The popular bustling market town of Keswick with an abundance of interesting shops, eateries and a good leisure centre is 4½ miles. Stretch your legs along the edge of Derwentwater or through Borrowdale Valley and pick up the Keswick launch to cruise back again. Towards the south, Ullswater and Thirlmere are a short drive away and both connect via passes and spectacular scenery to the South Lakes.

We stayed here for the second time over Christmas 2025. We stayed in 2022 at christmas too. This cottage is huge, and a delight to stay in. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need utility wise.The place is very clean, it could do with a new coat of paint in places but it does not distract from its cleanliness and charm. Lovely addition to the garden room - a huge leather corner sofa which is only a few months old im told. The wildlife this time round was extraordinary. Every day we saw tons of birds at the garden feeders, Robins, blue tits, yellow hammers, woodpeckers etc. it was an exceptional delight to have 4 red squirrels in the garden. Everytime we looked out they were there running around. Very special. We were lucky to have largely clear skies and stunning views of the milky way each night. Neighbours were lovely. Our only disappointment was that the log burner upstairs in the main living room was n’t to be used because of building regulations. Other than that; we were sad to leave

Great holiday home for extended family group, loads of space, 2 living rooms, comfy beds, very well equipped. Good location close to a66 but far enough away that you can't hear it, close enough to walk blencathra from the door. Good farm shop a few miles away, and close enough to Keswick.
