Nook Cottage in Cumbria & The Lake District is highly praised for its cosy atmosphere, stunning location, and thoughtful touches. Guests appreciate the welcome packs, the dog-friendly environment, and the property's proximity to local amenities and scenic walks. The open fire and garden add to the cottage's charm, making it a sought-after retreat for those seeking a peaceful holiday in the Lakes.

Most guests found Nook Cottage to be clean and tidy, with particular mention of the bathroom's cleanliness. However, a few guests noted areas where cleanliness could be improved, such as kitchenware and carpets, suggesting a slight deduction in the score.

The location is consistently lauded for its breathtaking scenery, convenient access to walks, and peaceful setting away from the bustle of town. The proximity to local pubs and Keswick is also appreciated, making it an ideal base for exploring the Lake District.

Guests describe the cottage as warm, cosy, and comfortable, with an open fire that adds to the ambience. The beds are noted to be very comfortable, contributing to a restful stay. Some guests mention the cottage's size as small for six people, but overall, the comfort level is high.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and efficient central heating. However, some guests suggest that the bathroom facilities and certain kitchen items could benefit from updating. Parking is also mentioned as a challenge, affecting the score.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome packs for both humans and dogs, as well as the provision of essentials like towels and kitchen supplies. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such extras are subject to change and may not be guaranteed.

It’s in a beautiful location with great walking from the doorstep, and a short drive to Keswick for supplies. For an autumn trip, the Cottage was very warm and cosy, and we enjoyed a real fire each evening. The kitchen is a good size and well equipped. We would definitely come back for another week

Rosthwaite is our favourite village in Borrowdale and therefore, the Lake District. Nook Cottage was the most comfortable accommodation we've stayed in there. Will definitely return.
