Once you're ready to begin your day, head out on foot to venture into Keswick town centre, with the relatively short stroll being fairly flat, you can browse the local shops and supermarkets for all your essentials, and maybe even pick up a souvenir or two from a local business!
Indulge in delicious meals out in the several restaurants and bistros or enjoy classic pub grub in one of the lovely pubs, well-deserved after a day of walking in the area. Set off from your doorstop to embark on adventures up Skiddaw and Blencathra, with plenty more peaks and fells within easy reach by car too, while the scenic walks along the River Greta and around Derwentwater are perfect for a more leisurely stroll. Delight in cruising along the waters of Derwentwater, with canoeing, kayaking and boat hire all available, you can explore the secluded bays and islands at your own pace, with a stop off at the National Trust's Derwent Island House too.
