Tommy’s Cottage is one of our most luxurious Keswick cottages and no expense was spared in renovating and furnishing this Lakeland stone fronted cottage. An interior designer assisted with the refurbishment and attention to detail was given in every area, including feature papered walls, coordinated fabrics, oak bedroom furniture and fully tiled bathrooms. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, guests with mobility problems will appreciate the ground floor en-suite bedroom. The cottage is 5 minutes level walk from the town centre and has a pleasant rear courtyard, a sun trap which is perfect for dining al fresco. A lovely comfortable cottage within easy walking distance of Keswick centre and Derwentwater yet very peaceful as it’s on a narrow side street. In need of a deep clean, especially the kitchen, however bed linen and towels perfectly clean. Small courtyard at the back is a bonus though very over looked. Parking is hit and miss but we found a spot at the end of the street and didn’t need the car for the long weekend as everything was in such easy reach.

Excellent holiday cottage, we were very comfortable.My only criticism is that has it is managed by Cottages.com and I would like them to consider more than one bin bag, a small amount of tea and coffee etc. Privately managed properties do have more equipment. Apart from this wonderful cottage.

We had a lovely stay at Tommy’s Cottage. It’s a perfect location for the town centre and the park. The house is comfortable and has everything you need, although a better non stick pan would be good as we cook a lot. The house was clean but could do with a thorough carpet cleaning as there was quite a lot of hair. We’d definitely stay again.
