Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Enclosed back garden with patio and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. If you like outdoor adventures such as walking, cycling and climbing, you are surrounded by some amazing scenery and routes around Latrigg, Catbells, Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn to name a few. Situated at on the end of Keswick, you can easily walk into the town centre and leave the car behind. Either just cross over the road and walk through Fitz Park to the town or follow the River Greta, either way, it’s a simple 10-minute stroll into the town centre, ½ mile away.
Keswick is vibrant with a great outdoor market and plenty of places to eat and drink. Its bustling centre has an abundance of quality restaurants, pubs serving local cask ales, independent shops and obligatory outdoor and fashion brands, along with plenty of delis, bakeries, coffee shops and local craft stalls. Famous for its narrow streets and courtyards, this traditional market town is one not to be missed. If you like culture, check out the theatre by the lake, 1½ miles, with award-winning arts and drama on the banks of Derwentwater, 1¾ miles, where you can hire a rowing boat.
For family fun just over a mile away, why not try Puzzling Place, a mind-boggling attraction based on optical illusions, or the Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the largest pencil in the world? Or, for a really wild day out, try The Lake District Wildlife Park at Bassenthwaite, or The Lakes Distillery, offering daily tasting and tours, both 8 miles away. If you fancy a round of golf, Keswick Golf Club is just under 4 miles. Stop looking, start booking, you’ve found the perfect place! Beach 22 miles. Pub and restaurant 350 yards.

Very well equipped cottage which was well maintained. However, there were a few concerns. Although it was mentioned in the file in the cottage, the location of the cottage is on a blind bend in the road making it difficult to exit the property, either by car or on foot. The back of the house can be accessed further down the road but there is no mention of this in the file. It is possible to walk down the backstreet which avoids walking on the road (where there is only intermittent pavement). Secondly, the house is poorly lit, both inside and outside. Neither of the outside lights were working during our stay. Finally, there were problems with the dustbins not being emptied ( I suspect not an uncommon issue)!We had a lovely stay in Tynedale but some alerts to the access problems mentioned would be helpful

Lovely house and location. Great having two parking spaces. We’d definitely stay again. The shower was very good. The park is just across the road, handy for taking our dog out. Two minute walk to The Pheasant Inn. A few of minor issues, the first two nights there were 5 of us, there were only two wine glasses, plus a broken one! TV/table and lamps were very dusty. The double mattress had a bit of a dip in it, maybe time to change it. Overall it was one of the best houses we’ve stayed in for a few years. Hopefully it will be available next time we come to Keswick.

Great property, good location, clean and tidy.Just maybe needed a few more amenities in the kitchen like pizza tray and cutter, cheese grater, microwave dishes.Would recommend and definitely book the property again.
