If you like outdoor adventures such as walking, cycling and climbing, you are surrounded by some amazing scenery and routes around Latrigg, Catbells, Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn to name a few. Situated at on the end of Keswick, you can easily walk into the town centre and leave the car behind. Either just cross over the road and walk through Fitz Park to the town or follow the River Greta, either way, it’s a simple 10-minute stroll into the town centre, ½ mile away.
Keswick is vibrant with a great outdoor market and plenty of places to eat and drink. Its bustling centre has an abundance of quality restaurants, pubs serving local cask ales, independent shops and obligatory outdoor and fashion brands, along with plenty of delis, bakeries, coffee shops and local craft stalls. Famous for its narrow streets and courtyards, this traditional market town is one not to be missed. If you like culture, check out the theatre by the lake, 1½ miles, with award-winning arts and drama on the banks of Derwentwater, 1¾ miles, where you can hire a rowing boat.
For family fun just over a mile away, why not try Puzzling Place, a mind-boggling attraction based on optical illusions, or the Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the largest pencil in the world? Or, for a really wild day out, try The Lake District Wildlife Park at Bassenthwaite, or The Lakes Distillery, offering daily tasting and tours, both 8 miles away. A lovely spacious cottage in a great location. Enclosed large back garden is ideal for dogs and lovely to sit out in. Cottage has everything you would need for your holiday and beds were very comfortable. It's only a short walk into town and Fitz park is directly across the road.

The cottage was spacious, with parking and close to the town centre as described.However, although it is rated 4 stars, this was not met.The back door locking bolts didn't work which meant we could only exit by the front door (this was reported to the Keswick office). The front path was overgrown and the gate hinge had dropped meaning it needed lifting to use.The bins were all full and the refuse one was not collected during our stay. This was reported to the office too as the lid wouldn't even shut. Nothing happened during our week stay...There was dog mess in the garden (not the owners fault) and basically the kitchen and bathroom need a really good clean (the underside of the draining board was crusted in dirt). The vacuum cleaner available was totally full which should be addressed.In summary, Tynedale was adequate but needs more attention to cleaning, clearer notes regarding bin collections and responsible guests who clear up after their dogs.

This house is in the ideal place to stay in Keswick, so pleased with the location. House was comfy, great nights sleep every night.Lovely bathroom, great shower and bath. There were some bits could be improved instantly, which made it feel unloved, bare bulb with a bit of broken fitting in the main hall light, wierdly wonky hung pictures in bathroom, incredibly dirty windows, balls of fluff and cobwebs in corners so felt dirty. A lovely house which was amazing in some ways and needs a little bit more love
