Felt like a real, cosy home. Fantastic view. Caught a glorious sunrise one day. Easy access to North Lakes. Bus stop is two minutes walk so don't have to use the car. Will be booking again soon.

The bin liner was removed by the bin lorry during the week but the bin was not emptied. It smelt, people had pushed full dog poo bags into the already overflowing lid and there were flies around it. There was only recycling for paper which in 2024 is extremely poor; we have stayed in many Lakeland villages ( including one a few miles away at the end of August) and alway been able to recycle glass, paper and plastic. People had also put dog poo bags in the paper recycling bin during the week. Furthermore, guests have written in guest book very recently that although laundered the towels had marked and stains on them - this was the case for two of our towels â¦this is very poor. The cottage was as described but did not match up to other 4* cottages we have stayed in, in the area. A simple welcome pack of some milk biscuits and tea and coffee would cost little and is the norm for most other cottages now, especially those rating themselves as 4*. The cottage was clean and was warm but waste and recycling are issues that need addressing.

Itâs cosy, clean and comfortable and provides everything needed for a lovely holiday. There are some minor improvements that could be made; the shower is very weak and the bath towels provided are very small, however this would not put us off returning as the cottage is otherwise excellent. The views and surrounding area is stunning.
