We would highly recommend. It really was a home away from home.Warm and welcoming, the views are stunning with sea too the right and scarfell pike too the left. The beach is close by, along with local amenities. The pub at the beginning of the lane service good food, which you could walk to. Or your could stay in and cook a meal to eat on the porch. The woodburing hot tub is an added bonus.Would definitely return.

Nestled in the most peaceful surroundings, it’s the perfect blend of comfort, charm, and nature. The cabin is beautifully presented spotlessly clean, cosy, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a truly relaxing getaway. The location is outstanding. You’re only around half an hour from Scafell Pike, with breathtaking walks close by including Stanley Ghyll waterfall and the stunning Blengdale Forest. Our dogs loved it.After a day of exploring, there’s nothing better than heading to a nearby pub for a hearty lunch by a roaring fire. You are only 20mins to half hour away from Scafell Pike, Glendale Forest, Stanley Ghyll waterfall, Drigg Beach all amazing trips. Evenings back at the cabin were just as special soaking in the wood-burning hot tub under the stars after a long day walking was absolute perfection. We spent Christmas at the lovely wind hall ennerdale cabin! The lodge itself was very well equipped, managed to cook a 3 course Christmas dinner! Hot tub was perfect after a long walk with the dog, the host Sarah was very helpful, as was her lovely mum who we met whilst staying there. Beautiful views, local village was ok - because of Christmas hardly any shops was open so did struggle a bit for a few essentials but that’s no fault of the lodge, that’s just because it was Christmas, had it have been a few days later we wouldn’t have had issues. Loved the welcome pack on arrival with bacon, milk and eggs I thought that was a lovely touch, would recommend wind hall lodge to anyone - so much so my mums already looking to book herself! Thanks for a lovely stay, we will 100% be back!
