We stayed in the Askham Centre Escape (Purdey). The lodge was clean and modern, had a coffee maker and a dishwasher. The wifi was actually really good, it only cut out once or twice for a few seconds-it was fast enough for my boyfriend to stream a football game on outside in the hot tub. The hot tubs were cleaned and maintained daily, they can only go up to 40° for safety reasons which is fine if you’re spending about an hour and a half in the tub, any longer and it begins to get a bit chilly in these winter months. Only one function on the hot tub seemed to work, it was kind of all of nothing with the jets but nonetheless it was really enjoyable. The position of the lodge is on a corner plot, which is great and you don’t really have any immediate neighbours and the lodges around us were empty all bar one, so really quiet.
