Less than a mile from the small village of Troutbeck at the base of the Kirkstone Pass, this charming lodge is ideal for families and friends who want to enjoy this beautiful location, whilst having the benefit of excellent restaurants and shops in nearby Bowness-on-Windermere. This superb, single-storey lodge offers three bedrooms, including one with en-suite facilities, and a well-equipped, spacious open plan living area with French doors that lead out onto a large decked patio. Sit out here and enjoy alfresco dining whilst admiring the views of Wansfell in the distance, or try to spot the fascinating local wildlife, including badgers and deer, with a refreshing drink. On site, there is a pub serving excellent food and real ales, both a children’s and outdoor games area, pony trekking facilities and a large field that leads through woodland, which is festooned with bluebells in spring. As well as the pub on site, there are also two village pubs just a short walk away serving bar food and traditional ales, each with roaring open fires. Walkers and cyclists will love exploring the many routes from the doorstep, and the popular towns of Windermere and Ambleside can be reached within a ten minute drive, making this holiday lodge a wonderful base for exploring the Lake District National Park, all year round.

The small village of Troutbeck is situated between Windermere and Ambleside The village offers a mix of buildings, some of which date back to the 17th century. The popular towns of Windermere and Ambleside offer boat trips, a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions that suit all ages.
