Originally a Cumbrian farm, now a well presented holiday village with lots of traditional character, cobbled streets between natural stone buildings, a duck pond, and views towards the fells. A range of onsite facilities including a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gym and games room. Visit Ullswater (9 miles), take a steamboat trip or walk to the waterfalls at Aira Force. The charming town of Keswick (11 miles) has a nice selection of pubs, restaurants, and independent shops to explore. The annual Mountain Festival is held over three days here, with world class sports, and talks, films, and live music events taking place beside the lake. At Whinlatter Forest (15 miles) kids will love the Gruffalo trail, or if you enjoy mountain biking there are some great tracks to explore. Rookin House Activity Centre is 4 miles away offering a huge selection of activities including Go Karting, Horse riding and paint balling. As you enter the property into the lobby, you will find space to hang up your coats and there is a handy WC. The bright open plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a lovely social space in which to relax together. The kitchen has a gas hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer. Off the kitchen, there is a large dining table for all the family to gather around, enjoy breakfast or a nice evening meal while discussing plans for the next day.
