About this property

This charming and comfortable three-bedroom cottage sits in an elevated position over looking Coniston Water. It is just a few minutes walk from the village centre and has parking for one car.

Coniston is a traditional Lakeland Village and is away from the hustle and bustle of the busy Lake District but has a charm of its own. Walks from the doorstep with shops, pubs and restaurant on your doorstep.

On entering the cottage, walk to the garden room and admire the stunning views of the fells and Coniston water. Patio doors lead out onto the decked area with furniture, which enables you to watch the sunset over the lake.

The sitting room is a great place to sit and relax after a busy day, whether it be walking on the fells or indeed sightseeing. Enjoy the warmth of the fire whist watching TV with either your family or friends.

The kitchen and dining area is a great space to socialise and celebrate a special occasion with your family and friends. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need.

Take the stairs and choose from the three comfortable bedrooms, one is a king en-suite with views across the lake, the second is a kingsize with en-suite bathroom (If requested this can be made into 2ft 6 twin beds) and the third a double with en-suite shower.

Returning to the ground floor is a utility room and lockable storage for bikes. There is also a separate shower room.

Nestling at the head of Coniston Water, the pretty village of Coniston is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the Lake District National Park, making it a superb base for touring, with Hawkshead, Ambleside, Windermere and Grasmere just a short drive away. Superb walking, mountain biking and climbing are available locally on Coniston Old Man and Wetherlam, and the lovely woodland trails at Grizedale Forest. For watersports enthusiasts, the quiet lake is ideal for dinghy sailing and canoeing, whilst the less active can enjoy a leisure cruise on the beautiful steam yacht 'Gondola’, or visit Brantwood, the former home of John Ruskin. Nearby attractions include the award-winning village of Hawkshead, home of the Beatrix Potter Gallery, Tarn Hows, one of the most visited beauty spots in the country and Esthwaite Water, famous for its fishing. A first class holiday location at any time of the year.

The drying rack is quite small for 5 people who have been out and about outdoors.

The week from the back of the property was stunning. Great location with only short walk to the town. Property was extremely luxurious all with en-suite bathrooms. Loved the spare fridge in the boot room for our drinks. Thank you for making our weekend even more enjoyable.
