A short car journey will take you to Wray Castle, a National Trust castle and grounds, perfect for all ages to explore the stunning grounds overlooking the breath-taking landscapes of the grounds.

A scenic walk or short car journey from the property brings you to the colourful town of Ambleside, known for resting on the edge of the largest lake in England, Lake Windermere, the town plays host to a plethora of watersport activities, as well as offering boat rides and cruises across the magnificent river. Here you will also find an array of shops, pubs, and restaurants to stop at and fuel your next excursion. For a relaxing day of discovering your surroundings, there are plenty of gardens and footpaths you can take amongst the marvellous landscapes of the Lake District, or for a more challenging day out, visit Loughrigg Fell and take in the scenery from an elevated position overlooking the lakes and peaks.
