Guests say

Guests consistently praise The Stables for its stunning views, peaceful location, and spaciousness, making it an ideal retreat for exploring the Lake District. The property's well-equipped kitchen and additional amenities like a pool table and sauna are frequently appreciated. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness concerns are noted, the overall experience is one of comfort and enjoyment, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The majority of guests found The Stables to be clean and tidy upon arrival. However, a few reviews mentioned the need for a deeper clean in certain areas, such as the showers and kitchen, and the presence of cobwebs. These comments suggest room for improvement in cleanliness standards.

The location of The Stables is highly commended for its fabulous views and proximity to local amenities and walks. Guests appreciate the ability to explore the Lake District directly from the property, highlighting the peaceful and beautiful setting as a standout feature.

Guests find The Stables comfortable, with special mentions of the cosy lounge and comfortable beds, although some guests note the beds could be larger. The homely feel and amenities contribute to the property's overall comfort, despite some feedback on the need for modernisation in certain areas.

The facilities, including the kitchen, pool table, and sauna, are generally well-received. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as non-working lights, heating noise, and the need for updates to decor and appliances. These factors have led to a slightly lower score in this category.

While guests express gratitude and appreciation for their stays, there are no specific references to gifts or special touches provided by the hosts that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be given in this category.

As previous comments beds are a little on the small side and shower in main bedroom is not worth using no pressure. But saying that would return again it so peaceful.

a very warm loving home where you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. We couldn’t find the welcome pack when we arrived which caused a few moans not being able to get on the internet but we found it the following day behind the place mats. Can’t find any negatives with the Stables even the cleaners were polite when we checked out.
