Daw Bank is a delightful, Lakeland slate cottage set at the heart of the picturesque village of Chapel Stile. It has three bedrooms spread over three floors and the owners have lovingly refurbished the property to provide a stylish and comfortable holiday home for six people. In the late 19th century, Daw Bank housed the first Langdale Valley Co-op, now it is ideal for a family group or couples holidaying together.
Take a couples of steps up to the cottage and leave your boots and outdoor clothes in the hallway. You will see a washroom here. Walk into your large L-shaped lounge with kitchen and dining area and enjoy the light flooding into this appealing dual aspect space. Relax on your comfortable suite and admire the feature window and warming, log burning stove. Walk through your welcoming dining area to discover an attractive, well-equipped kitchen fitted with contemporary shaker style units in cream. You are sure to imagine memorable, family evenings at the large and appealing dining table. The dining area has pleasant views to the garden.
Climb to the first floor to discover two good sized bedrooms, both rooms are light and well presented. You will find: a king size bedroom to the front with views over the village and a twin bedroom to the rear overlooking the garden. A modern, large family bathroom lies nearby. Go up to the second floor to discover your spacious, master king size bedroom room with TV, attractive sloping roof lines and pleasant views over the village. You will find a washroom adjacent to your bedroom.
Take a morning stroll around the picturesque village, then head to Brambles for breakfast and stock up at the village store. The famous Wainrights Inn is just a stone’s throw away.
Head out on foot to experience spectacular walking trails or take the bus through the beautiful Langdale Valley to Dungeon Ghyll to walk some of the most acclaimed trails in the National Park. For a more relaxing day, explore the Langdale valley and have a bite to eat at one of the famous Dungeon Ghyll pub. At the end of day relax on your patio to recall your exciting day together
