Site Description
Enviably situated in the heart of the Lake District, White Cross Bay awarded The David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation enjoys 60 acres of delightful wooded parkland running down to the shores of Lake Windermere.
Surrounded by fells offering beautiful scenery all year round, this is a perfect base for walking, climbing, fishing (national fishing licence required), sailing and boating with Ambleside, Windermere and Bowness all nearby.
After time spent exploring take a dip in the heated indoor pool with sauna followed by a relaxing evening in The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant.
Accommodation is within easy reach of the lake and clubhouse, however please be aware that there may be steep gradients and undulating ground.
Please Note: There are no facilities available on Christmas Day and ticket access only on New Year's Eve.

The Dalehead lodge was very nice, luxurious and perfect for our needs. The check-in and check-out process was smooth.

Single bed mattresses were a little bit uncomfortable as were the lounge chairs and sofa.

The lodge could have done with a better clean ,the oven was dirty, there where cobwebs a horrible smell off cats wee by the door the sofa bed had wood under the cushions which they put their so very uncomfortable, apart from that not bad
