Head to this truly individual holiday home in the south of the Lake District and take a good sized group with you. Up to eight guests and two dogs are welcome to stay at the impressive, four bedroom property at Finsthwaite, 10 miles from the market town of Ulverston. Venture approximately 0.5 miles to the shores of scenic Lake Windermere or head just under a mile to picturesque High Dam. Members of your party might also like to spend time at Fell Foot, 3 miles away, where you can picnic, paddle, swim and go boating. From Newby Bridge, 2 miles from the barn, catch a ride on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway, which makes its way through spectacular Lakeland scenery. Step into this bright, three storey barn and find yourselves in a broad reception hall, where you can leave your boots and jackets in a cloakroom and find a separate WC. Wander on to discover the airy kitchen/diner, with its AEG double electric oven and separate electric hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, and dishwasher. Prepare hearty meals then gather around the table to enjoy them together. Find an extra TV in here too. Make your way up to the first floor to relax in the lounge and bask in front of the open fire. Settle down together to watch the large TV, with Freesat, or a film on the DVD player. Perhaps listen to your favourite tunes via the Bluetooth Bose speaker after dinner. Members of your family might also like to spill into the sun filled conservatory to take in the sweeping vistas or challenge each other to a board game. Find one of your bedrooms, which has a king size bed and en suite shower room with WC, is also at this level. Climb the stairs to the top floor to discover another king size room, plus two twins with hand basins, all with low sloping ceilings. The family bathroom, with bath, shower and a separate WC, is also up here. Enjoy the many levels and different outside spaces within the gorgeous grounds. Dine on either of the patios, light the BBQ and find the delightful secret garden. The attached garage is arranged as a games room, with table tennis and a dart board, and also has space for bicycles. A handy tumble dryer is also kept in here. The barn comes with parking for two cars. Need to know: Towels not provided, so please ensure that you bring your own. 4 bedrooms 2 king size and 2 twins. 2 bathrooms 1 en suite shower room with WC, 1 bathroom with bath, shower and separate WC, 1 additional WC in cloakroom. Parking for 2 cars on the driveway in front of the garage. Dogs must be supervised outside due to livestock in the surrounding fields. Secure storage for bikes in garage. Games room. Pub and shop within 2.5 miles. Please note there are some sloping ceilings, internal and external steps, plus uneven surfaces in the garden. Please supervise dogs and children outside as the fences are not secure and there is livestock in the fields. BBQs only no fires in the garden or candles in the house please.
