Suitable for those with limited mobility, on the ground floor are two bedrooms, comprising of a double and twin, and a large shower room. Upstairs plays host to three bedrooms, including a king-size double with a en-suite and picturesque views over the tarn, plus two attractive twins which are perfect for children. Enjoy sitting in the patio garden and taking in the blissful scenery with only the sound of chirping birds to disturb the quiet. Hawkshead is a short drive away and offers a lovely selection of shops, cafés and restaurants for you to enjoy, or catch the Windermere steamer across to Bowness and sample from a superb choice of attractions. For an active day out, visit Grizedale Forest where there is a tree top adventure course and numerous paths and trails to explore by foot. Keepers Cottage promises a rejuvenating getaway throughout the year.

The quaint village of Hawkshead still retains its character and charm in the form of its higgledey-piddlegy houses, archways and squares, once beloved by William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. There are several pleasant inns, tea shops, guest houses and gift shops in the village, making it an ideal location for tourists. In the heart of the village is the Beatrix Potter gallery, a museum and a gallery showcasing a selection of her original drawings and illustrations.
