There was so much room in this house that we could all spread out if we wanted to or all be together in one area. It was very comfortable and well equipped. A short walk into bowness, where there was a good choice of cafes, bars and restaurants and a good base for exploring the Lakes. I would recommend trying the Spa day at Low Wood Bay Resort.

The room wasn't set up as twins when we arrived, even though sykes had been asked twice to do that. The maintenance people though were fabulous and came the next morning. Lots of room for everyone to do something different. Beautiful views from every room in the house. Back garden was great but isn't particularly safe for large dogs. We have a 3 year old lab and she jumped straight over the rear wall and ended up at the front of the property! Wasn't an issue though just kept her on her lead outside. We had ages ranging from 87 to 8 years and we all loved the area and house so much! The walk into Bowness took about 30 minutes. Bowness was lovely, likewise so was Ambleside and Windermere. So much to do all all-round the area. All in all an extremely lively winter break, thank you to the lovely owners that let this property out! We will be back very soon x

Very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, not short of anything. The large garden is lovely and well kept. I would definitely recommend Brackenlea and hope to return sometime soon.
