To unwind you can relax in the sitting room, enjoying the TV and view of the garden. On the first floor, the double bedroom has its own fireplace, perfect for a cosy evening in, and a twin bedroom.
Outside there is a patio area with furniture to the front of the cottage, plus a rear garden complete with garden furniture too, perfect for relaxing with a drink. A few minutes walking will take you to the main street of Bowness on Windermere with its pubs, cafes and shops. This wonderful village is home to the Beatrix Potter Exhibition for fans of Peter Rabbit to learn more about their favourite characters and their author. Bowness on Windermere is also well placed for days out further afield, with Ambleside, Windermere and Grasmere all within easy reach by car. A trip across Lake Windermere on the car ferry will take you to Sawrey, home to many of the stories of Beatrix Potter and Hawkshead, where history fans can visit the Hawkshead Parish Church and see the Grammar School where William Wordsworth attended.
Just a short drive from here will also take you on to Coniston. Perfectly placed with plenty of local history and beautiful vistas to enjoy, plus attractions to keep grown-ups and little ones alike entertained, Honeysuckle Cottage is the ideal base for couples or a family exploring the Lake District.
