Very spacious, lovely bathrooms and plenty seating which was especially great for us as we like to dine in. A real bonus were the extra towels and bathrobes provided for the hot tub! Will def consider booking again!

Communication from property owner before our stay was excellent

All 5 double bedrooms were lovely, some had en suite. The outside area with hot tub was fab with great views. We used the hot tub every night, great to relax after a long walk. The kitchen was large but strangely not much worktop space or much cupboard space for our food. No room to plate up 10 meals unless you used to big table. Also slimline dishwasher wasn't large enough for 10 place settings. Appreciated having 2 ovens and microwave. Induction hob was tricky to use but we got the hang of it eventually. Nice big TVs for rainy evenings. Sofa in living area would seat 8 at a push. Dining area was large with lovely views. Utility room with great appliances meant we could wash our hiking stuff mid week. Bathrooms and showers were high spec too. Would have been great to have a boot/shoe storage area for our walking boots and bench in the hall to sit on whilst putting boots on etc Also more storage for our walking stuff, coats, wet suits etc in the utility/cloakroom area. But these were just minor things. In general the overall design and layout of the house was auperb. Would definitely go back but some aspects were not big enough for 10. Would also need an electric car charging point next time. Good location within walking distance of centre, pubs and restaurants, the lake etc, and some walks you could go on direct from the house. Be aware most places on Bowness stop serving food really early and booking in more popular places is essential. We had a lovely relaxing week with the family, lots to do, lovely setting and very comfortable and stylish house
