Howe Top is ideal for a family or larger group to enjoy time together in a relaxing setting.
The open-plan kitchen is well-equipped and perfect for rustling up a light meal or supper for all guests. Leading from the kitchen is the dining room with stunning views across Bowness-On-Windermere and a glimpse of Lake Windermere itself. The relaxed seating area of the dining room leads to the sitting room with a large and comfortable corner sofa. The accommodation is spread over three floors with all bedrooms featuring zip and link beds (can be configured as super-king size beds or full sized single beds on request), which offers excellent flexibility with sleeping arrangements.
The glorious setting on the outskirts of beautiful Bowness-On-Windermere can be best appreciated from the balcony, either relaxing in the hot tub or taking in the view while dining al fresco on the outdoor dining set. The enclosed gravelled garden is set just below the property leads down to a summerhouse. There is also secure bike storage available.
Bowness-On-Windermere is one of the most sought-after tourist towns on the shoreline of Lake Windermere, and its many and varied amenities can be reached on foot from Howe Top. A major draw for visitors are the outdoor activities available year-round, including lake cruises, sailing and watersports. Howe Top is in a perfect location for discovering the beauty of the Lake District National Park with numerous hikes and cycle routes to explore. Within easy driving distance are other popular destinations including Kendal, Ambleside and Windermere.

This is the second time we have stayed at Howe Top and it is just such a great place to stay. The house has all you need and is extremely comfortable. The location is also perfect with easy access to all attractions. We would highly recommend and are already looking into booking again.

This property was perfect for our needs. We were a party of 5 couples who were getting together for the first time since 2019 and so wanted room to chat and chill. The property had 5 beautiful bedrooms all of which could be made into king-size doubles and 3 of which had en suites (plus 2 other bathrooms and a cloakroom). The living area was brilliant - a big table that sat 10 and a big kitchen that catered for everyone. There was also a large hot tub which we all enjoyed. As well as the actual facilities the organisation was also excellent with a lovely welcome pack there when we arrived. The hot tub was on and everything was clean and sparkly. The property was well situated (less than 5mins walk into town) and had lovely views across Lake Windermere. There were also were beautiful walks (as you would expect in the Lake District) close by. We all had a fabulous time.

Location, setting, views, were perfect only beaten by the standard of the house, which is spacious and decorated to a very high standard. We are already planning our trip back.
