While some mention minor issues with cleanliness, road noise, and garden security for small dogs, the overall experience is very positive, with many guests keen to return.

Most guests found the cottage clean and well-presented, especially bathrooms and bedding. However, several reviews mention areas needing improvement, such as sofas with dog odours, missed spots in the kitchen, and some kitchenware needing a deep clean or replacement.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to village amenities, walks, and the Lake District. Some guests noted road noise and traffic outside the property, but most found the setting convenient and the village delightful.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as spacious, warm, and comfortable, with plenty of room for large groups and dogs. Some mention worn sofas and uncomfortable mattresses in one room, but overall comfort is rated highly.

The cottage is well-equipped with a large kitchen, ample parking, and a spacious garden. Some guests noted maintenance issues such as the need for new kitchenware, a downstairs toilet seat, and improved garden security for small dogs, but most found the facilities more than adequate.

A great base for discovering the Lake District and the lovely sandy beach at Silecroft. My x2 pooches were very happy there too!

Great location with so many places to visit

We found certain things in the kitchen needed cleaning before they could be use, oven trays, frying pan etc and some need replacing. Bath waste doesn't flow away. Heating needs setting up, it came on in the middle of the first night. Other than that good house economically priced.
