Guests have consistently praised River Walk for its cleanliness, prime location in Kendal, and the comfort it provides. The apartment is well-equipped and tastefully decorated, with the added convenience of a private parking space. While some minor maintenance issues and preferences regarding bed size were noted, the overall experience has been very positive, with special mentions of the thoughtful touches like wine and biscuits.
Reviewers frequently highlighted the spotless condition of the apartment, indicating a high standard of cleanliness. The consistent mention of cleanliness across reviews justifies a near-perfect score.
The central location in Kendal, close to shops, restaurants, and the Lake District, was highly appreciated by guests. The convenience of the location and the private parking space contributed to the high score.
The apartment is described as comfortable, cosy, and well-furnished. Some guests mentioned a preference for larger beds and noted limited hanging space for clothes, slightly lowering the score.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and modern amenities. However, some guests pointed out issues such as a problematic door lock, a noisy fridge, and the need for better levelling of appliances, which affects the score.
Guests appreciated the thoughtful gestures such as a welcome package with wine and biscuits. While these gifts are mentioned positively, it is important to note that such amenities are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Located on the banks of the River Kent, Kendal is often referred to as the "Southern Gateway to the Lakes" and is a mediaeval market town with a stellar reputation for shopping. Its 12th-century stone ruins of Kendal Castle dominate the skyline from atop a hill, and the town's charming main street is crisscrossed with charming, cobblestone side streets. Portraits by George Romney, a Kendal native, works by Turner and Ruskin, and other shows made possible by the gallery's ties to the Tate make Abbot Hall Art Gallery well worth a visit. Limestone escarpments for easy walking offer breathtaking vistas of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills, and Morecambe Bay, and both Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall, with its superb Topiary Garden, are located in close proximity to the area. Kendal is ideally situated for day trips to South Lakeland, the Yorkshire Dales, and beyond. Kendal is a great place to set up camp for a vacation because it is close to the Lake Windermere and the rest of the National Park, as well as the Kendal Museum and the Museum of Lakeland Life, both of which feature fascinating exhibits, as well as the beautiful Quaker Tapestry.

Two kind local people helped us to locate it.The kitchen facilities were good so that we could easily make meals when we didn't want to eat out every night. Comfortable sofa and chairs and a great large tv with streaming channels which was a bonus. The beds were comfortable also although we are used to having a king size bed but as there was 2 bedrooms with double beds this was not a problem! Loved the decor of the bathroom with the walk in rain shower. All in all we had a lovely stay while visiting Kendal which has a lot to offer in relation to shopping, eating out and good transport bus links to visit other towns in the Lake District area.
