Guests say

Guests appreciate the cottage's prime location in Ambleside, its cosy atmosphere, and the well-equipped kitchen. While some find the parking tight and the open-plan layout a bit noisy, the property's charm and cleanliness are frequently praised. The thoughtful touches, such as Prosecco and milk, add to the welcoming experience, although these are not guaranteed for every stay.

The majority of reviews mention the property being clean and fresh upon arrival, indicating high standards of cleanliness. However, a few guests noted issues such as cobwebs and stains on carpets, slightly lowering the score.

The location is highly praised for its convenience, being close to local amenities and ideal for exploring Ambleside. The central location contributes to a very positive experience for guests.

Comfort receives a good score as guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy. However, some guests mentioned uncomfortable sofas and noise issues, which affects the comfort level for some.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-stocked kitchen and efficient heating. Maintenance issues like a tricky toilet flush, a broken cafetiere, and a shower screen needing attention have led to a slightly reduced score.

Guests have expressed appreciation for thoughtful gestures such as the provision of Prosecco and milk. While these are warmly received, it is important to note that such gifts are not guaranteed for all stays.

The kitchen was well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The toilet needs looking at, as you have to really pump it to get it to flush.

  • Sara

The property could do with updating as is a little old fashioned, lots of stains on carpets upstairs, cobwebs and toilet is really difficult to flush. No welcome pack provided explaining how to use appliances just sticky notes dotted around the property.
