Fell View is a cosy and well-equipped cottage praised for its great location in Ambleside, within walking distance to Lake Windermere and local amenities. Guests appreciate the homely feel, outdoor seating, and the property's cleanliness. Some concerns were raised about the size of the bathroom and the stairs, but these did not detract from the overall positive experiences.
The cottage is generally well-regarded for cleanliness, with guests satisfied with the condition upon arrival. One minor note was made about outdoor tidiness, suggesting room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its convenience and proximity to town and natural attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring Ambleside and the surrounding areas.
The cottage offers a comfortable stay, though some guests noted the bathroom size and stairs could pose discomfort for larger individuals or those with disabilities.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and pleasant decor. However, there were comments about the lack of a teapot, issues with water pressure, and the need for additional mirrors and handrails.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Eventually worked out how to use the heating as instructions werenât clear enough but used fire instead so wasnât a problem. Bathroom is it a bit on the small side but useable. Overall a comfortable property and was in an ideal location for all we wanted to do in the area. Ambleside centre was really close so were able to have a couple of car free days.

Everything we needed was there, just wish the outside where table and two chairs were had been a bit more weed ifree as on the photographs it looked much tidier and weed free, but other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our few days there .
Jane
An ideal location with a short walk to Lake Windermere or into town and all Ambleside has to offer. 5 stars, will be looking to stay again! Can also recommend Force Cafe & Terrace, delicious food and a picture postcard view!
