Leafy Nook is a well-received cottage in Ambleside, praised for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and tranquil location by a waterfall. Guests appreciate the recent kitchen upgrades and the property's proximity to local attractions. The snug sofa and HD TVs add to the comfort, making it a homely base for exploring the Lake District.
Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, with only a few isolated comments about dampness and a mouldy bathroom ceiling. The overall impression is of a well-maintained and clean environment.
The location is highly regarded for its proximity to Ambleside town centre and local amenities, as well as the peacefulness provided by the nearby waterfall. Some guests mention the uphill walk and parking challenges, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive reception of the location.
The property is generally considered comfortable, with a few suggestions for more relaxed balcony furniture and comments about the property feeling damp during cooler weather. The comfortable beds and homely feel contribute to a high comfort rating.
Facilities are well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen. However, there are mentions of minor maintenance issues such as light bulbs not working, a low-power microwave, and a worn iron flex. The presence of HD TVs and off-road parking are positives, though some guests experienced issues with parking space availability.
While guests are generally pleased with the property, there is insufficient information regarding the provision of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided in this category.

The upper floor is well maintained, spacious and modern, and the whole property is well equipped. We noticed a big difference this year in the downstairs rooms - which felt damp for the duration of our stay (the week was cool and rainy, and the heating did not come on in the downstairs bedrooms or bathrooms, which meant that towels and bathrooms did not dry. I did request for support from LakeLovers with the heating but the reply only came to me after our stay was over). The ceiling of the main bathroom was mouldy, so I presume this is a recurring issue. It's a shame, and something which I think can be sorted very quickly - bringing this lovely property back to tip top condition for others to enjoy. If I knew this had been done, we'd be 100% sure to return again next year, as it's a fabulous location, the balcony by the falls is beautiful and the apartment has everything hikers/walkers need for a great trip to the Lake District.

A dedicated parking space is also a bonus. The waterfall outside the balcony is a delight, a perfect place to sit and relax with a drink after a busy day exploring the Lake District.

It is very well equipped and comfortable. The waterfall running past the apartment also it it character. It is in ideal walking distance of Grasmere & Troutbeck and close enough to drive to the key sites in the National Park. We had a lovely holiday here, thank you!
