Guests have enjoyed the comfortable beds and the enclosed garden, ideal for pets. The property has been described as clean, cozy, and spacious, with some guests expressing a desire to return.

The property has been noted for its overall cleanliness by several guests, though there have been instances of overlooked areas, such as under beds and behind appliances. Some guests reported finding old underwear and woodlice, indicating room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its quietness, views, and short walking distance to town amenities. However, the steep hill and lack of direct garden access from the house have been noted as potential issues for some guests.

Many guests found the property comfortable, with a spacious living room and comfortable beds. However, some guests reported issues with dampness and a musty smell in the bedrooms, and the need for a new mattress was mentioned.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the property owners. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

We have stayed here several times, but this is the first time since it has been improved. We like the alterations and appreciate the off road parking and secure garden for the dog.

However, we were surprised that there weren’t any shower mats for when you stepped out, we ended up using the hand towels. A bag of logs & kindling would have been nice for the open fire even if it was on an honesty box basis. We were also a bit disappointed that there wasn’t a welcome pack on arrival as we’ve had one in nearly every other place we’ve stayed & found this a nice touch. Having said all this, these are only minor observations. It was still a lovely property in a great location & would happily stay there again.

Very quiet, yet less than 10mins to busy centre. Well maintained garden with seating in 2 areas. Mostly spacious, except the shower-rooms which were rather small. Well stocked kitchen, full size dishwasher was a bonus, as was washing machine and tumble drier. Slight pain that freezer is in garage (dog’s food). Would definitely return.
