Situated in the beautiful Lakes town of Ambleside is this charming period property, over 200-years old and now offering beautifully-presented holiday accommodation in the wondrous Lake District. Enter into the original slate hallway, immediately noticing the property's classy character, and head into the kitchen/diner to the right, where many evenings can be spent around the rustic, long wood table in the company of your loved ones. Relish a challenge of cooking for the group using the superb Lacanche range cooker with a large gas hob, set within the stylish green handmade kitchen, and let the pots simmer away as you sip a glass of wine perched at the breakfast bar. Carry the conversation into the sitting room where a mix of antique and current furniture and seating have been arranged around the traditional woodburning stove. Head downstairs to the lower-ground-floor where a cinema room awaits you on a rainy day, be impressed by the huge 75" internet connected ultra HDTV and watch a newly released blockbuster, or an epic match on Sky Sports.     We all fell in love with the decor and soft furnishings. The property is well stocked with essentials in the kitchen all of very good quality. The beds were comfy and the house was warm. We loved the cinema room to watch tv together. We hope to visit again.

    The location is superb - 3 minutes walk into town and so many long walks direct from the house. Having off-street parking is a huge bonus. My favourite holiday house ever. A wonderful week was had by all!
