Riversdale is a stunning four bedroom, four bathroom detached lodge situated beside a peaceful stream. It has been completely re-furbished and modernised in 2019 and is ideal for large families or groups looking for that idyllic getaway. The property comprises a large living room with a wood burner, formal dining area with ample seating, modern fitted kitchen, a utility room and a downstairs cloakroom. On the first floor are four comfortable bedrooms, each with their own en-suite facilities for added privacy.
Before you even step over the threshold you have to pause for a moment to take in the stunning backdrop of the surrounding fells. Outside there is a charming garden with seating area. Riversdale comes with its own parking, so you can leave the car and explore one of the many walks that are available right from your doorstep. Just a few moments away is the popular village of Grasmere with everything from tea shops to fine dining, and of course the famous ‘Grasmere Ginger Bread’, or if you prefer, stay in and relax round the wood burner in the comfortable living room. Either way, you will be refreshed and ready for the next day’s adventure.
The property has a lovely enclosed garden, perfect for relaxing with a drink as the sun goes down. Shop and pub 500 yards, restaurant 200 yards.

Riversdale is a very welcoming property!Myself and my family loved everything about it!It had everything you would need in it regarding kitchen appliances and pots etc!The location was perfect for us ! We will definitely be returning.

Our 2nd stay at Riversdale and once again we had a fabulous time. A family gathering (7 adults) pre Christmas break worked out perfectly with the 4 en suite double rooms and ample living and eating spaces. Everything was clean and comfy. The one downside was the dining table design which meant seating was difficult for those seated at the ends. A very small point as this did not detract from our fabulous stay. Grasmere is a beautiful village and the property is ideally positioned close to walks/ cafes/ pubs. We can thoroughly recommend Riversdale.

This was our third stay at Riversdale.Three generations and a dog this time. Lovely house in an ideal position in the village, we didn’t move the car until we left. Plenty of walks from the door. Despite the very wet weather we all had a great time, plenty of room for us all and very well equipped. We all wished that we could have stayed longer but it wasn’t available. We booked another cottage so we could stay in the lakes a while longer. Riversdale was definitely superior!
