Guests say

Todd Crag View is a well-liked apartment in Ambleside, praised for its stunning views, central location, and overall comfort. Guests appreciate the proximity to local amenities and the added bonus of a balcony. While some concerns were raised about parking and the size of the living space, the property's charm and convenience seem to resonate positively with most visitors.

The apartment generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with most guests finding it clean and well-maintained. However, a few guests mentioned issues such as a dusty environment and the need for a deeper clean in certain areas, slightly impacting the overall impression.

The location of Todd Crag View is highly praised for its central position in Ambleside, offering easy access to shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The stunning views and the convenience of being close to the town centre contribute to the high rating.

Guests find the apartment comfortable, particularly noting the quality of the bathroom and the beds. However, some guests feel that the living space is cramped for four adults and the seating is not sufficient, which affects the comfort score.

The facilities at Todd Crag View are generally appreciated, especially the well-equipped kitchen and the powerful shower. Nonetheless, guests have raised concerns about maintenance issues such as the need for appliance repairs and updates, which suggests room for improvement.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in gestures like the provision of a welcome gift of wine and chocolates for a New Year's Eve celebration, which guests found delightful. However, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed and may not be a consistent offering for all stays.

I could have sat out on the balcony all day were it not for occasional rain and all the other attractions of the Lake District. The only thing that could have been better was that the settee was not comfortable for everyone - it has odd shaped cushions which can't be removed. But that was all. I would come again for that view.

We had only one real issue when we some on our 2nd day to find we had no not water, but I phoned the contact number and Mrs. Goldie quickly arranged for someone to come out to check the boiler and by the time we returned in the afternoon they had called and fixed things. Excellent service !!. Probably needs a new sofa ,but that apart everything was fine - comfy bed and great shower , plus kitchen had everything we needed. I would happily re - book it staying in the area again.

Couple of negatives were the parking. Shouldn't be listed as having parking as we were only able to use the space once. As soon as any other cars were parked, you can't get in. We have a Peugeot 308, so not a big car. Managed to park 5 minutes away though. Also no, toilet paper or any form of washing up liquid or soap. Not big enough for four in the lounge as only a three seater sofa. Took turns sitting on the dining chairs. That aside, the location was very good and you can get to the centre of the village in 10 minutes. The view from the balcony is great and we sat out when we could Lovely little apartment, but will not be returning due to the parking situation, which is a shame as love Ambleside.
