The property's peaceful setting and proximity to local attractions make it a favourite for return visits, despite minor maintenance issues and some confusion over check-out times.

Cleanliness

The property generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'clean' and 'tidy'. However, one review mentioned issues with kitchen cleanliness and mice, which slightly lowers the score.

Location

The location is consistently lauded for its peacefulness and proximity to local walks and pubs. The scenic views and quiet setting contribute to a high score in this category.

It has been renovated to a very high standard and is ideal for a family group looking for a memorable holiday experience.

You will also find the family bathroom with double ended bath, digital audio and Bluetooth mirror

Take a morning stroll around your landscaped gardens before enjoying breakfast alfresco on the decked south facing balcony. You will find a large shed to store bikes or a kayak.

Head out on foot to experience spectacular walking trails or take the bus though the beautiful Langdale Valley to Dungeon Ghyll to walk some of the most acclaimed trails in the National Park. For a more relaxing day, explore the Langdale valley and have a bite to eat at one of the famous Dungeon Ghyll pubs

For a more relaxing day, take an easy walk from Elterwater along open meadows and through woodland to the pretty village of Skelwith Bridge and have a bite to eat by the river at Chesters , a well-loved vegetarian café, and browse its enticing gallery.

The small hamlet of Little Langdale quietly sits in a scenic valley and consists of a scattering of houses and a local pub. The area is separated by the Lingmoor Fell from Great Langdale and is accessed via a twisting road which runs alongside the Brathay River, eventually passing by Little Langdale Tarn and heading to the Wrynose pass, following the path of an ancient Roman road. The landscape is magnificent with many regarding the area as the most beautiful in the British Isles, if not indeed the whole of Europe, inspiring many great poets over the years including William Wordsworth, known for his love of the area. With Ambleside and the whole of the National Park within easy reach, this magical location is not to be missed!
